Paula Anderson is a graduate of Fairley High School in Memphis, Tenn. She attended LeMoyne-Owen College and earned a bachelor’s degree in English in 1996.
She began her professional career at UT Medical Group, Inc. She worked in many capacities during her 14-year tenure.
Additionally, she is a certified professional coder (CPC®) and an approved coding instructor with AAPC and the owner of Paula Anderson Coaching and Consulting, LLC.
Paula is the founder of Writing by Design Media, Inc. a writing, editing and digital content creation business.
She began as a freelance writer in 2015 for The New Tri-State Defender. In 2017, she developed Memphis Small Business Quarterly, a digital publication, highlighting underrepresented entrepreneurs in Memphis.
In 2020, she received a 2nd bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. Paula is pursuing a master's degree in Journalism and Strategic Media from the UofM.
She has a passion for writing and wants to tell stories that inspire, inform and motivate. Her other strengths are teaching, planning, training and researching.
Paula is the mother of one adult son.
She says, “My most significant accomplishment is being a mother.”
In her spare time, she likes to read inspirational and motivational books.
Paula also loves to connect with friends and dance.
