Local vendors gathered on Small Business Saturday at Crosstown Concourse located inside the Church Health.

Tischinna Cunningham, event organizer and founder of Imani Soap Company, hosted the pop-up shop to give local business owners an opportunity to increase sales.

Vendors included Brenda Palmer,  X Seven XI, Scentsy, Water Your Dreams, Bridgette Ballew, Leigha Walton-Bayne, The Tea Bar By Divinity and Kimberly Craft Life Insurance.

According to Big Commerce, small businesses make up more than 99% of all businesses in the U.S., and employ 47.5% of the country’s workers. On average, only 50% of these businesses survive to pass the five-year mark.

Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 by American Express to strengthen local business owners.

There was a steady flow of shoppers throughout the day.
